We ensure the consumer will only receive the best of Kenyan coffee, which is among the world’s most sought-after coffees, thanks to meticulous attention to detail. Our Coffee Estate has an acidic, sweet, green coffee bean with a tinge of berry taste. Pricing in international markets is determined by quality and other marketing variables. The planted coffee area is 138 ha predominantly SL variety with 5% Ruiru 11. SL variety is renowned for excellent cup quality.
Processing methods:
Our coffee is 100 % wet processed. The ripe cherry is harvested by hand, pulped the same day and fermented to remove mucilage. It is then washed and sundried on raised tables to 10% moisture. It is then hulled and graded.The farm is currently Rainforest certified and working to restore its Café certificate.
Quality:
We grade our coffee using the traditional Kenyan grading system into AA, AB, PB , C and Grinder grades. The main grades form 80% of the harvest. This area is renowned for its acidity and balanced body. The coffee flavour is chocolate
